BIBLE DISTRIBUTION IN PAKISTAN!
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
In a season of what seems like a constant barrage of bad news, it is refreshing to meditate on how God is advancing His Kingdom! This past weekend more than 450 Bibles were distributed in Pakistan; a nation that is 98% Muslim and can be very dangerous for Christians. Cornerstone has been fortunate to establish relationships with strategic ministry partners in Pakistan; one such partner is Numan ilyas of Light in The Dark Ministries. Many Cornerstone families have rallied around this ministry in prayer & financial support to see the Kingdom advance in that region and Numan is full of gratitude!
All glory goes to God for the work that is being accomplished, but it is also fun to highlight how God has moved the hearts of His people into one accord. Josh & Jolene Edwards lead a young adults group in their home on Monday nights. Over the past several months, that group has become very excited to partner in these efforts. This group single handedly raised the majority of financial support needed for this Bible distribution to become a reality.
This past Monday night, those young adults got to virtually connect with Numan directly as he delivered the Word of God live from Pakistan. It was a blessed time in the Word and many were encouraged and impacted through this engagement. It was powerful to hear from someone their own age laying it all out for the Gospel.
