Cornerstone Church is very excited to announce our newest ministry, Sign Language Ministry!
We are sharing a video introduction to this ministry that is presented by David and Shannon Kennedy.
David is the Sign Language Ministry leader and Shannon is his wife. Shannon is deaf and both David and Shannon have been attending Cornerstone church for over three years. This ministry was developed to bring the good news of the salvation that Jesus Christ provides to ALL of us that follow him.
When we consider the number of deaf and hard of hearing in Arizona alone, there are over 20,000 deaf and 1.2 million Hard of Hearing.
We have been made aware of a deaf couple that drive to California twice a month for ASL interpreted services in a Christ driven church because of the lack of availability of interpreting at local churches that they feel do not provide the accurate bible based information they seek.
Globally there are 60 Million deaf that do not have the bible translated into their own sign language!
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15How will they preach unless they are sent? — Romans 10.14
In union with Christ and through His divine leadership, we are doing our part to serve the deaf and hard of hearing as we welcome all to become part of our FRamily!
